So what's up today is our week 11 and 8th blog in Educational Technology and its me again your boy Carlo so we will talking about our journey in making our E-Portfolio in our subject educational Technology 2 .
So when you say Portfolio it is a collection of academic work, accomplishment and other documentation. If you can remember when you are a High School student this portfolio is one of the requirements or project in order to passed and promote you to a Higher Grade level. Some Teachers are required you to make your portfolio more creative where you have to unleashed your skills drawing, cut out some pictures or design to decorate your portfolio, put some boarder lines and quotes to make your portfolio presentable.
As the technological advancement continues to increase, Portfolio develop in to other form from notebooks filled with documents,notes and graphics to Online Portfolio or must known as digital portfolio or e-portfolio. where the academic work or other accomplishment and documentation are put into online.
e-portfolio has a lot of advantages than Traditional Portfolio because e-portfolio is more easier and instant access, no lost data, you can use digital archives,presentation,blog that feature same material as traditional portfolio but in e portfolio you can also include some videos,multimedia, spreadsheets and photographs. it can reduce your paper use unlike traditional portfolio. e-portfolio has no limit in choosing design to make it more presentable.
for me in my own opinion there is no point in arguing about the traditional and electronic portfolio because one will not exist with out the present of another and what is important is that they share a common goal which help the students to evaluate their learning progress and their achievement.

As a Future Educator i am very glad to give my future students a chance to view my e-portfolio where they can see how and where i started, they can see my struggles and failures and use it as an instrument to improve, and see all of my achievements and accomplishment. that will help them to inspire to study hard and remind them that its ok if you are not good at the beginning whats important is that you learn step by step and you will see that there is an improvement to your self. and as a future educator i will encourage them to do their own e-portfolio so they can evaluate their own skill,ability and knowledge and see if there is an improvement.
Using my e-portfolio i know that this will help to easily evaluate my application because it will show all of my achievements, accomplishment through time and even all the things that i improve especially my skills, ability, and knowledge as a teacher. and i will tell them that i am ready as a teacher and i will use all the learning that i acquire especially in our subject educational technology in teaching effectively and meaningfully with the use of technology.
